The AirTAC GFR300-15 NPT1/2 AirTAC Filter Regulator 5 um Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a 300-size filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a fine 5 um filter element, and a square pressure gauge reading in bar. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of G, NPT or PT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the tool-change clamping and pneumatic actuators on a CNC machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting pilot valves from water and fine particles.
Sits upstream of the valve manifold on a carton-forming and sealing line, holding a steady set pressure for the sealing jaws while the manual drain bowl catches condensate between shifts.
Regulates the air driving pop-up diverters, stoppers and pushers on a bottling conveyor, where consistent pressure keeps product handling gentle and repeatable.
Choose the GFR size by the port and flow your line needs: this 300-size unit has 1/2 in NPT ports, and larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. The manual drain on this unit means an operator opens the bowl drain during maintenance - if you cannot schedule that, consider an automatic or differential-pressure drain instead. The 5 um element (code W) suits air that feeds sensitive valves, cylinders or instruments; the 40 um standard element is fine for general plant air. The square gauge here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are also available. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and a bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm the datasheet curves and correct sizing on request before you order.
The M in the code means the polycarbonate bowl has a manual drain: condensate is emptied by hand during maintenance checks. If the unit is mounted where regular access is awkward, or the line runs long shifts unattended, an automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain is the better choice - both are orderable in the same 300-size body.
