The AirTAC GFR300-15JNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15JNWT is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 300 size with a 1/2 in NPT port, fitted with the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain on the bowl, and the standard regulator covering 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). No gauge is fitted (code N) and no mounting bracket is included (code J). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The polycarbonate bowl suits the 300 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, thread options PT (standard), G and NPT, filter grades 40 um (standard) or 5 um (W), drain choices of differential-pressure, automatic or manual, and gauge or no-gauge variants. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool-change cylinders and clamping fixtures on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine spool valves from particles and carryover water.
Point-of-use preparation for the pneumatic cylinders that fold and seal cartons on a packaging line, holding a steady set pressure so flap folding and taping strokes stay repeatable.
Conditioning the air delivered to spray guns in a finishing booth, where the 5 um grade reduces particulate in the atomising supply and the regulator sets gun inlet pressure.
Size and port step up together: 200, 300, 400 and 600 cover ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, so pick the size whose flow curve covers your demand - we can check the curve against your application before you order. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (this unit's default), automatic, or manual. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code - this unit carries the 5 um element. Gauge (round or square, MPa/psi/bar scales) and bracket are order options; this configuration has neither. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as catalogue options - this unit is NPT.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Ask us to confirm the datasheet curve against your required flow before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number. Tell us your required flow and operating pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curve for the 300 size on request before you order.
The W code in GFR300-15JNWT selects the optional 5 um filter grade; the standard GFR element is 40 um. Choose 5 um where downstream valves, actuators or processes are sensitive to finer particles. Drain on this unit is the differential-pressure type; automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are available as other codes in the same family.
