The AirTAC GFR30008MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/4 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR30008MJC2 is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air with its standard 40 um element, then regulates downstream pressure across the 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) range that applies to the manual-drain version. This configuration is 1/4 in ported (PT1/4, PT thread standard), has a manual drain on the PC (polycarbonate) bowl, an external round gauge reading in psi, no bracket, and no reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include automatic or manual drainage, a 5 um (W) filter element, gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, G or NPT threads, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air to the clamping cylinders on a CNC machining centre, holding fixture pressure steady through the cutting cycle while the 40 um element keeps swarf-contaminated condensate out of the valves.
Supplying diverters, pushers and stopper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, where the regulator sets a consistent actuation pressure and the manual-drain bowl is emptied during scheduled line cleaning.
Prepping air for DA sanders and spray guns at a body-shop bay: the 40 um element strips water and grit that would mar paintwork, and the regulator holds the pressure the gun manufacturer specifies.
Size and port drive the choice: this unit is size 300 with a 1/4 in PT port; step up to size 400 or 600 when the line needs a larger port and more flow, or down to size 200 for compact circuits. Drainage is manual on this model, so an operator drains the bowl; choose the automatic-drain code if the installation is unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for 5 um when finer filtration is needed. The round gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are also available, and the embedded square gauge is the alternative style. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and the J code means no mounting bracket is fitted.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated number, so please ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated flow number we can quote. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm against the datasheet curves whether this 1/4 in size 300 unit is correctly sized before you order.
The M code in GFR30008MJC2 specifies a manual drain: an operator opens the drain to empty collected water from the PC bowl, which suits attended installations on a regular maintenance round. If the unit will sit unattended, the automatic-drain code (A) ejects condensate by itself, and the default differential-pressure drain releases when the pressure drop across the element builds up. Note that the manual-drain version also carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
