GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um

The GFR30015JF2T is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This configuration has NPT1/2 ports, a 40 um filter element, a polycarbonate (PC) bowl with a differential-pressure drain that expels condensate automatically as air flows through, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, and no mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and a choice of gauge scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um Is Used

factory

Pneumatic press cell

Feeding a pneumatic press cell: the filter stage strips water and swarf from plant air while the regulator holds clamping pressure steady between strokes, with the psi gauge letting setters verify the set point.

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining centre

Supplying the tool-change circuit of a CNC machining centre, where the 40 um element protects directional valves from condensate and particles and the regulator keeps actuator pressure consistent.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor actuators

Conditioning air on a packaging conveyor's diverter and pusher legs: clean, regulated pressure keeps the actuators cycling consistently through the shift, with the differential drain clearing condensate in passing.

Is the GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um the Right Unit?

The step up to size 300 with 1/2 inch NPT ports suits lines whose air demand sits above what 1/4 inch units carry comfortably; match the size to required flow rather than to pipe size alone. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; the 5 um (W) variant is available where finer protection is needed. Drain options are differential-pressure (fitted here), automatic (A) or manual (M). The embedded square gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales, and an external round gauge, are alternatives. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options, as NPT is here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR30015JF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the right size from the datasheet before you order.

The blank drain position in the code means a differential-pressure drain: condensate is expelled automatically as air flows through the bowl, with no operator action. If your line runs intermittently at low flow, a manual (M) or automatic (A) drain version can be ordered instead.
