The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 PT Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This 400-size unit is ported PT3/8 (3/8 in, PT thread standard), uses the 40 um standard filter element, and carries a manual drain so an operator empties the bowl on a chosen schedule. The bowl on this size is PC (polycarbonate). Regulation range for the manual-drain configuration is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the fitted round gauge reads in psi. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR400 series is one of four sizes (200/300/400/600) with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, optional G or NPT threads, automatic or manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option, gauge scale choices, and a low-pressure regulator type. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm datasheet and flow figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at a 3/8 in branch take-off from the plant air main, it filters rust and condensed water out of the supply and holds a set pressure for the tools and actuators served by that drop. The manual drain is emptied during scheduled walk-rounds.
Feeding a pneumatic clamping or light press station, the unit delivers clean air and a stable regulated pressure so cylinder forces stay repeatable. The psi round gauge lets the setter read the working pressure directly, and the check valve holds the setting against supply dips.
Mounted on the air-prep plate of a packaging or labelling machine, it conditions the supply to the machine's valve islands and air cylinders. The included bracket fixes the unit to the plate, and the manual drain suits machines shut down and drained at end of shift.
Step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 sizes and their ports (1/8 to 1 inch) to match the air demand of the line; the 400 size at 3/8 in sits in the mid-range of the family. Choose the drain to suit access: manual (this unit) for supervised or periodic draining, automatic where the unit is hard to reach, or the differential-pressure default. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um W option when finer filtration is needed. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar, and the thread can be ordered as PT (standard here), G or NPT. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure that could mislead your sizing. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR400-10 on request before you order.
The manual drain (code M) means an operator drains the bowl on a schedule - simple and reliable where the unit is easy to reach. Automatic and differential-pressure drains are available instead. This unit also carries the standard 40 um element (5 um optional), a psi round gauge, a reverse/check valve, and the included bracket; G or NPT threads can be ordered in place of the standard PT.
