The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator G3/8, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one body. This unit is built on the 400 size with a G3/8 (3/8 in) BSPP port, a 5 um filter element (the finer option over the standard 40 um grade) and an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without operator attention. The standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), the embedded square gauge reads in psi, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl shows the condensate level at a glance and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with manual, automatic or differential-pressure draining, a 40 um or 5 um element, psi, MPa or bar gauge scales, G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and with or without a bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the tool changer, clamps and pneumatic valves on a machining center, where the 5 um element protects sensitive components and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the line.
Regulated air for stopper cylinders, diverters and pick-and-place heads on a packaging conveyor, with the pressure set once at the regulator to keep cycle behaviour consistent across shifts.
Supplying spray guns, air ratchets and blow guns in a body shop; filtered, regulated air supports a steadier spray pattern, and the automatic drain suits a shop that runs compressors all day.
Choose the size by port and demand: the GFR range steps through 200, 300, 400 and 600, and larger sizes carry larger ports and higher flow capacity, so step up if your line sits near the top of a smaller unit's curve. Drain type matters: automatic draining (this unit) suits unattended or long-shift installations, manual draining needs an operator, and differential-pressure draining is the catalogue default. On filtration, the standard grade is 40 um and the W option is 5 um - pick 5 um, as here, where downstream valves and instruments are sensitive. Gauge scale is psi on this model; MPa and bar scales are order options, and an external round gauge can be specified instead of the embedded square one. Thread is G (BSPP); PT is the catalogue standard and NPT is available to order. A bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The automatic drain on this unit expels collected condensate by itself, which suits installations that run unattended or for long shifts. Manual draining needs an operator to open the drain, and differential-pressure draining is the catalogue default. All three are order options across the GFR range.
