The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10MLJC1TK is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit is specified with a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain on the bowl, the standard 40 um filter element, and the low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run at reduced setpoints. The bowl on this 400 size is PC (polycarbonate), a reverse/check valve (K) is fitted, and the round external pressure gauge with MPa scale is included. No mounting bracket is supplied with this configuration (J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge styles and scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Positioned ahead of clamping cylinders that must hold workpieces at a reduced setpoint, this unit filters the shop air and lets the operator set and read the working pressure on the MPa gauge.
Installed at the drop to a paint or coating booth, the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale from the compressed air while the regulator holds a steady, reduced pressure to the gun.
Mounted at the machine inlet, it cleans and regulates the air feeding directional valves and small actuators, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled changeover maintenance.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port. The manual drain means the bowl must be drained by hand as part of routine maintenance; automatic and differential-pressure drain options exist elsewhere in the family if you prefer not to. The standard 40 um element suits general air preparation; a 5 um element (code W) is available when finer filtration is wanted. The low-pressure regulator type is intended for circuits operating at reduced pressures; the exact adjustment range for this type is not published in our sheet, so confirm it with us. The round gauge reads in MPa; square gauges and psi or bar scales are also catalogue options. NPT is the thread on this unit; PT and G (BSPP) versions can be ordered. This configuration has no mounting bracket.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, we cannot quote one number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request.
The M in the code means the bowl is drained by hand: open the drain as part of routine maintenance to remove collected water. If you would rather not drain manually, the GFR family also offers automatic and differential-pressure drain options - ask us for those configurations.
