The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain for emptying the bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a reverse (check) valve fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl gives a clear view of condensate and element condition.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filter grades, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge scale options, and a reverse valve option. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, pressure-regulated air to clamping cylinders on a machining fixture, where the operator sets and verifies the clamping pressure on the psi gauge and bleeds the bowl at shift checks.
Conditioning the air supply to a cartoning or wrapping machine's actuator circuits, keeping water and particulate out of valves and cylinders while holding a stable regulated setpoint.
A bench or cell drop feeding air-powered hand tools and small actuators, with the check valve holding the regulated circuit against upstream dips and the manual drain cleared during routine maintenance.
Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) to match the port size and flow demand of the line; the 400 size with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the range. Choose the drain to suit access: manual (this model) for supervised points where an operator can bleed the bowl, automatic for unattended duty, or the differential-pressure default. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The square gauge is fitted here with a psi scale; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this unit, with PT (standard) and G available to order, and a bracket is included for mounting.
Because GFR flow is published only as curves and not as a single rated figure, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so no one flow number is quoted here. Send us your line pressure, setpoint and flow demand and we will confirm the datasheet figures for the GFR400 size on request before you order.
This unit's M code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand. Choose manual where the unit is accessible and checked as part of routine maintenance; choose the automatic drain option (code A) for unattended installations, or the differential-pressure default where drain behaviour can follow the pressure differential.
