The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Round Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W, finer than the 40 um standard), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an external round pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), the polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size, and the unit carries a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this unit is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding press cylinders and clamping fixtures on a stamping line: the 5 um element keeps grit out of valve spools, the round MPa gauge gives the setter a clear setpoint, and the differential-pressure drain clears condensate through each production cycle.
Supplying regulated air to diverters, sealers and pick-and-place cylinders on packaging conveyors, where the 3/8 in NPT port matches the machine's main drop and the 5 um grade protects the fine-tolerance directional valves downstream.
Conditioning shop air for laboratory rigs, leak-test benches and instrument panels, where the 5 um element and stable 0.15-0.9 MPa regulation give a clean, readable supply and the differential-pressure drain keeps the PC bowl from loading up.
Start with the port and size: this is the size 400 body with a 3/8 in NPT thread, one step up from the 1/2 in-down GFR300 range, so step up to GFR400 when your line runs more air than a 1/4 in or 3/8 in circuit can carry. Choose the drain to match attendance: differential-pressure (as here) needs no timer or operator, automatic suits unattended duty, and manual suits supervised points. This unit carries the 5 um element (code W) instead of the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air, and add a separate GC or GL stage if lubrication is also required. Gauges are available embedded square or external round, in MPa, psi or bar scales; thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options; a bracket is included here.
Because rated flow is published only as curves and not as a single figure, we do not quote a flow number for this unit. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The code W option is the 5 um grade, one step finer than the 40 um standard element. Choose it where downstream directional valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air; the 40 um element remains available in the same GFR400 body if coarser, higher-capacity filtration is acceptable.
