The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a PT3/8 (3/8 in) PT-threaded port, a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate), the standard 40 um filter element, the low-pressure regulator type, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR400 series is offered in the 400 size with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um filter element (code W), embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and bracket or no-bracket mounting. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding film-sealing or carton-closing cylinders that run at low set pressures, with the filter stage keeping water and pipe scale out of the valve seats and the manual drain cleared during shift checks.
Conditioning the air ahead of spray equipment where clean, dry, steadily regulated low-pressure air protects the finish, with the 40 um element catching particulate and the psi gauge giving the operator a visible setpoint.
Supplying diverters, stoppers and gate cylinders on a sorting or assembly conveyor, where the reverse/check valve holds the downstream circuit and the manual drain is emptied during planned maintenance.
Size 400 with a PT3/8 port suits lines plumbed at 3/8 in; step up or down a size if your piping or expected air demand differs, since port size and flow capacity rise together. The manual drain on this unit means someone opens the bowl drain to discharge collected water - choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain code instead if you cannot schedule that. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; specify the 5 um (W) element where finer particulate removal matters. The fitted round gauge reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT available to order, and the bracket is included. Note this is the low-pressure regulator type; its exact adjustment range is not published in the material we hold, so confirm it with us against your set pressure before ordering. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The M in the code GFR40010MLC2K selects the manual drain: collected water is released by opening the bowl drain, so plan it into your maintenance routine (automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on other codes). The C2 selects the external round gauge with a psi scale; an embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales are alternative order options.
