The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Low-Pressure 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the low-pressure type with a 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically as pressure drops across the element, an external round gauge reading in psi, a built-in reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket. The port is PT3/8 (3/8 in, PT thread). Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The polycarbonate bowl gives a clear view of condensate level.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge and scale options, PT, G or NPT thread, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds and regulates the clamp cylinders on a workholding fixture that operates at reduced set pressure, with the 5 um element protecting the directional valve and cylinder seals from fine contamination.
Mounted at the machine inlet to strip water and particles and hold a steady low-pressure supply to the bagger's actuator circuit, with the psi gauge giving operators a local pressure readout.
Supplies cleaned, low-pressure regulated air to instrument-grade actuators and purge lines on a pilot skid, where the finer 5 um grade and check valve protect sensitive downstream components.
Start with size and port: the 400 size with its 3/8 in PT port suits lines drawing more air than a 300 unit, but sizing against required flow matters, so confirm the flow curve with us before ordering. Because this is the low-pressure (L) type, the set-pressure range differs from the standard unit - ask us to confirm the exact range for your setpoint. The 5 um element (W) is the finer of the two published grades (40 um is standard) and suits downstream equipment sensitive to finer particles. The differential-pressure drain needs no operator action but requires airflow across the element to purge; if your line runs intermittently at low flow, ask about automatic or manual drain variants. The round external gauge reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are catalogue options. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT available to order, and the bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
The W code specifies the finer 5 um filter grade instead of the 40 um standard, and K specifies a built-in reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure if the supply is interrupted. The L code makes this the low-pressure regulator type, whose set range differs from the standard unit - we confirm the exact range on request.
