The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator PT3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a low-pressure filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit has a PT3/8 (3/8 in) port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance, an embedded square gauge reading in psi is fitted, and a reverse/check valve is included to hold downstream pressure when the supply drops. No mounting bracket is supplied with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR400 series, one of four sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in and thread options in PT (standard), G and NPT. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet numbers against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a carton-sealing or wrapping line running low-pressure air cylinders, the GFR400-10 filters the shop air and holds a reduced, stable supply pressure to the actuators, with the check valve holding the setting if the main supply dips.
Bench-scale test rigs and lab apparatus that need clean, gently regulated air at modest pressures can take the 3/8 in supply through this unit, with the 40 um element catching pipe scale and the psi gauge giving a direct reading.
Food and beverage conveyor lines using low-pressure air knives or blow-off nozzles get filtered, regulated air from this unit, and the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate from being carried down the line onto the product.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs. Because the L code makes this the low-pressure type, confirm the reduced-pressure window you need with us before ordering - the exact range for the low-pressure variant is not published in the standard tables. Drain choice is decodable: differential-pressure (this unit, code blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). Filter grade is 40 um standard here; specify W for the 5 um element if finer filtration is needed. The fitted square gauge reads in psi (scale 2); MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is PT as standard; G and NPT are order options. A bracket can be added by dropping the J code. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow curves and help you check the sizing before you order.
L marks this as the low-pressure regulator type, intended for reduced-pressure duties below the standard range - the exact adjustment window is not published, so confirm it with us. Drain is the differential-pressure type (no code letter): condensate is discharged automatically when the pressure differential across the 40 um element is sufficient, with no manual intervention needed.
