The AirTAC GFR400-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This unit is built on the 400 size with NPT3/8 ports, a 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain and the low-pressure regulator type (code L). It includes the embedded square gauge on the MPa scale and a reverse (check) valve (code K), and is configured without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR range, which spans the 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, plus a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and bracket. AirTAC publishes flow for these units as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Low-pressure pneumatic cylinders on a carton-sealing conveyor get filtered, regulated air from one compact unit. The 5 um element protects the directional valves from particulate and the check valve holds the downstream setting during supply dips.
Pneumatic clamps on a machining fixture held at a low regulated setpoint suit the L-type regulator. The embedded square MPa gauge gives a direct reading at the machine, and the differential-pressure drain bleeds collected condensate as air flows.
Pilot air to control valves on a dosing or process skid needs clean, low regulated pressure. The 5 um element guards the pilot ports, NPT3/8 ports match the skid tubing, and the no-bracket configuration suits panel-plate mounting.
Size and port step up with flow demand: the 400 size here carries a 3/8 inch NPT port, above the 300 size and below the 600. Where a bowl is fitted, choose the drain: differential-pressure (this unit's default), automatic, or manual. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code, as fitted here. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge (MPa, psi or bar scale) or an external round gauge, and the K code adds a reverse/check valve to hold the downstream setting during supply dips. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and the J code deletes the bracket. Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow figure for the GFR series; flow is given as curves across pressure and port size. Tell us your application flow and pressure and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet on request.
The L code selects the low-pressure regulator type, intended for applications regulated below the standard band. The exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published in the standard tables, so we confirm it from the AirTAC datasheet on request. The rest of this unit decodes normally: 5 um element, square MPa gauge, check valve fitted, NPT3/8 ports.
