The AirTAC GFR400-10G AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in G Thread is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit carries a G3/8 (BSPP) female port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The fitted round pressure gauge reads in psi, so set-points can be checked and adjusted at a glance. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl keeps the condensate level visible; only the size 600 units use an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include a 5 um element (code W), automatic or manual drain, square embedded or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, a reverse/check valve, and G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the clamping and tool-change cylinders of a CNC machining centre, with the 40 um element keeping sway and pipe scale out of the clamp valves and the psi gauge letting setters verify clamp pressure directly.
Sits at the drop point where a packaging conveyor's air supply branches to its carton-sealing and case-erector cylinders, filtering line condensate and holding a steady working pressure so case dimensions stay consistent through the shift.
Installed at the wall drop feeding a manual assembly bench, giving operators filtered air at a locked set-point for air tools and small cylinders, with the differential-pressure drain handling condensate through the working day.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port suits lines whose air demand sits in the middle of the G-series range; step up to size 600 or down to size 300 depending on the flow your circuit needs - we can confirm sizing against the published flow curves before you order. The 40 um element is the standard choice for general plant air; specify the 5 um W-grade element if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The differential-pressure drain on this unit needs no operator attention, but if your compressor cycles infrequently or the unit sits upstream of an intermittent demand, an automatic (code A) or manual (code M) drain may suit better. The round psi gauge fitted here can be swapped for a square embedded gauge or a bar or MPa scale. Thread is G (BSPP); PT is the AirTAC standard and NPT is available to order. This configuration has no mounting bracket (code J); brackets are optional on GFR units.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM figure. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The C2 code on this model specifies an external round gauge with a psi scale. AirTAC also offers an embedded square gauge and MPa or bar scales, so if your panel layout or local convention calls for a different gauge style, ask us for the equivalent GFR400-10 variant.
