The AirTAC GFR400-10T AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10T is a filter regulator: one body that first removes water and particulate from compressed air, then reduces and holds the downstream pressure at a set point. This unit is the low-pressure type, so it is intended for circuits that run at reduced working pressures rather than full line pressure. It is built in the 400 size with a 3/8 in NPT thread, carries the fine 5 um filtration grade (code W), drains condensate by differential pressure, and is fitted with a round pressure gauge scaled in psi. A mounting bracket is included and the polycarbonate bowl suits the 400 frame.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans the 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, manual or automatic drain variants, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge and scale choices, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the sizing and datasheet figures against your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding spray guns and atomising stations on a finishing line, where air must be cleaned of water and particles and then held at the reduced pressure the gun manufacturer specifies.
Supplying filtered, pressure-reduced air to the clamp cylinders on a machining fixture, so holding force stays consistent through the cycle instead of drifting with shop-air fluctuations.
Conditioning the air feeding sealing bars, diverters and small actuators on a packaging line, protecting them from condensate and grit while running at a lowered set pressure.
Start with the port step: the 400 size takes a 3/8 in connection, and the larger the size the greater the flow path, so match the frame to the air demand of the circuit. This unit is the low-pressure type - choose it where the downstream equipment needs a reduced, stable supply pressure; we can confirm the exact adjustment window from the datasheet on request. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer of the two published grades (40 um is standard), so pick it where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air. The differential-pressure drain bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes the unit; manual-drain and automatic-drain variants exist if your duty cycle suits them better. The round gauge here reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT as order options - this unit is the NPT version. A bracket is included for panel or wall fixing.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as characteristic curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Tell us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The W in the code GFR40010LC2WT selects the 5 um element, the finer of the two published grades; 40 um is the standard choice for general plant air. The 5 um grade suits circuits feeding valves, cylinders or instruments that need cleaner air. Both grades are available across the GFR range if you need the coarser option elsewhere.
