The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 5um Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15 is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a steady downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is threaded NPT1/2 (1/2 in), carries the fine 5 um filter element (code W), drains condensate by differential pressure with no manual attention, and has a built-in square pressure gauge scaled in bar. A reverse/check valve (code K) is fitted, and the polycarbonate bowl with mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of drain types, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge styles and scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to a machining centre's pneumatic tool-changer and clamping circuits, where the 5 um element protects pilot valves from water and swarf-contaminated air.
Conditioning the air feeding conveyor stopper and case-sealing cylinders on a packaging line, holding a stable set pressure so cylinder stroke speed stays consistent through the shift.
A point-of-use filter regulator at the drop from a factory ring main, delivering dried, pressure-controlled air to hand tools and small actuators at an assembly cell.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port suits lines where flow demand is well above the smaller 200/300 frames; step up or down by port size against your air demand, and we will confirm the flow curve against your consumption before you order. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer choice over the standard 40 um where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air. Drain is differential-pressure here; automatic (A) or manual (M) drains are available in the same series if your duty or access differs. The square gauge is scaled in bar; psi or MPa scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. NPT is ordered as the T-suffix option (PT is the catalogue standard; G/BSPP also available), and a bracket is included on this unit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your working pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing from the datasheet before you order.
K means a reverse/check valve is fitted: if upstream pressure is lost, the valve holds the downstream pressure instead of venting it back through the unit. It is an option on GFR filter regulators - the same unit without K has no check function.
