The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size-400 unit is configured with 1/2 in NPT ports, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, a reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulator adjustment range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl suits this size.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and low-pressure regulator types. We confirm flow and other datasheet figures on request - flow is published as curves rather than a single rating - so ask before ordering if you need sizing data.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, pressure-controlled air to carton-forming and sealing heads on a packaging line, where the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the valves between shifts.
Regulating supply pressure to conveyor stopper and diverter cylinders, with the 40 um element protecting directional valves from water and pipe scale.
A filter-regulator point-of-use station on a CNC machine's pneumatic panel, giving the maintenance team a local psi gauge and a set-and-lock outlet pressure for clamping circuits.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports; step up or down (200/300/400/600, 1/8 in to 1 in) to match the line size and the flow your circuit needs. Drain choice matters in practice: the automatic drain fitted here handles condensate removal unattended, while manual and differential-pressure drains are available if you prefer operator-controlled or load-linked draining. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um W option where finer particulate removal is required. The round psi gauge fitted here can be swapped for a square gauge or an MPa/bar scale, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered instead of the PT standard. A bracket is included on this configuration. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing data from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code GFR40015AC2TK specifies an automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate from the bowl without operator attention - useful on lines that run unattended. Manual (M) and differential-pressure (blank) drain versions of the GFR400 are also available in the same size if you prefer a different drainage method.
