The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This size 400 unit is threaded PT1/2 (1/2 in), carries a 40 um standard filter element, and uses a manual drain, so the bowl is emptied by opening the drain valve during routine checks. The fitted round gauge reads in psi, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) filter grade, different gauge scales, G or NPT threads, and bracket options. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the drop of a packaging machine's air supply, the GFR400-15 removes condensate and pipe scale from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's valves and cylinders, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible setpoint.
Mounted ahead of the solenoid valves driving conveyor gate cylinders and diverters, this filter regulator keeps water and 40 um-and-larger particles out of the valve seats while setting the working pressure the actuators were designed for.
Fitted where a 1/2 in branch feeds a machine's pneumatic sub-plate, the GFR400-15 lets each machine be set to its own pressure independently of the header, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled maintenance rounds.
Choose the size and port step (200/300/400/600) against the air demand of the line - larger sizes carry larger ports - and we will confirm the flow curve against your application before you order. This unit has a manual drain, which suits installations where someone is already on site for routine maintenance; if the bowl cannot be checked regularly, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions instead. The 40 um element is the standard grade; a 5 um (W) element is available where finer filtration is needed. The fitted round gauge reads in psi; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are the other catalogue options. PT is the standard thread on this model, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order options, and a mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can quote. Tell us your application and line pressure and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for the GFR400 size on request before you order.
The M in GFR40015MC2 means the bowl is drained by hand: someone opens the drain valve during routine checks. If the unit will sit where it cannot be inspected regularly, the same size is available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank), which removes condensate without manual attention.
