The AirTAC GFR400-15-F2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15-F2WTK is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one compact body. This size 400 unit is fitted with 1/2 in NPT ports, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element rises, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a built-in reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a 1/2 in-supplied pneumatic press or clinching station: the 5 um element protects the press valve train, the check valve holds the set pressure through supply dips, and the psi gauge lets the setter verify setpoint at the machine.
Filtering and regulating the air feeding conveyor stop-gates, case erectors and carton closers on a packaging line, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of the actuators without a daily manual drain round.
A filtered, regulated drop point serving several assembly benches off a 1/2 in header: the check valve isolates the cell from header pressure swings, and the psi-scaled gauge gives operators a local reference for tool air pressure.
Start with the port: this unit steps up to 1/2 in NPT, which suits lines carrying more air than the 1/4 and 3/8 sizes of the same series; match the port step to the flow your circuit actually needs. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer choice over the standard 40 um grade - pick it when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments are sensitive to finer particles, keeping in mind finer filtration loads the element sooner. The differential-pressure drain is the set-and-forget option; choose automatic if you want timed bleeding regardless of load, or manual where an operator can drain on a schedule. The square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are available if your team works in metric. NPT is specified on this unit, with G (BSPP) and PT as orderable alternatives, and the mounting bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves rather than one rated number, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Tell us your working pressure and the air demand of your circuit and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves for this 1/2 in unit before you order.
The standard element filters to 40 um, which is fine for general actuation. The 5 um element fitted to this unit removes finer particles, which suits circuits with precision valves, air bearings or instrumentation. The trade-off is that the finer element loads faster, so the differential-pressure drain and periodic element checks matter more.
