The AirTAC GFR400-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/2 in, 5 um, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15G is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This 400-size unit carries 1/2 in G-threaded ports, a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough - no daily manual draining on a normal duty cycle. The built-in standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), read on the embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and the polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance. A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR400 series, one of four sizes (200/300/400/600) that step up in port size and flow capacity. Across the range you can order manual or automatic drains instead of the differential type, the 40 um standard element, gauges scaled in MPa or bar, G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and a no-bracket version. AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and flow data for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-change clamps and pneumatic actuators on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine pilot valves from particles and the regulator holds a steady clamp pressure through the shift.
Mounted at the drop of a packaging conveyor's air main, it filters condensate out before the diverter cylinders and keeps the sealing jaws' pressure constant as other machines on the line draw air.
Conditions the supply to spray-gun atomising circuits in a finishing booth, where the 5 um grade and stable regulated pressure support an even spray pattern and the square psi gauge gives operators a direct readout.
Start with the port and size step: the 400 series takes 1/2 in ports, one step above the 300 series and one below the 600, so match it to the line size and the flow your circuit actually draws - and because flow is published only as curves, not a single rating, send us your demand figure and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet. On this unit the choices are already fixed by the code: 5 um filtration (the finer W grade, chosen over the 40 um standard where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air), differential-pressure drain (lowest-maintenance option; choose automatic for intermittent low flow or manual where you want positive control), a square gauge in psi, G-thread ports (PT is the AirTAC standard; G and NPT are order options), and the included mounting bracket. If your working pressure sits below 0.15 MPa, ask us - the standard regulator range starts there, and a low-pressure type exists in the range.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your circuit and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W code in GFR400-15F2WG selects the optional 5 um grade, which captures finer particles than the 40 um standard - a good match for pilot valves, instruments and spray equipment. The drain is differential-pressure type: it discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure drop across the element rises, so there is no manual drain routine, though the polycarbonate bowl still lets you check the level visually.
