The AirTAC GFR400-15JF3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-15JF3T is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This size-400 unit is specified for a 1/2 in NPT port, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and uses a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The embedded square gauge reads in bar, and the regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, drain choices of differential-pressure, automatic or manual, a 5 um element option (code W), and square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to a shop-floor pneumatic press or clamping fixture, where the 1/2 in port matches the main drop and the bar gauge lets operators set and verify working pressure at the machine.
Conditioning the air feeding a packaging machine's cylinder and valve manifold, with the 40 um element stopping pipe scale and condensed water from reaching the directional valves.
Serving as the point-of-use filter regulator on an automated assembly cell, holding a stable downstream pressure for pick-and-place cylinders while the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving out during production.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300 according to the flow your line needs - we will check the published flow curve against your demand before you order. The differential-pressure drain on this unit suits steady-running compressed-air supplies; choose automatic drain (code A) for unattended duty or manual drain (code M) where you want positive control. The standard 40 um element protects most actuators and valves; specify the 5 um option (W) for finer pre-filtration. The square gauge here reads in bar; psi and MPa scales are available. NPT is built into this code, with PT and G offered as alternatives, and note the J code means no mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
A blank drain position in the code means the differential-pressure drain: condensate is expelled automatically when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises, with no operator action needed. If your application runs intermittently or unattended, the same size-400 body is available with an automatic drain (code A) or manual drain (code M) - ask us for the alternative part number.
