The AirTAC GFR400-15LJF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/2 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15LJF2TK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is the low-pressure type, fitted with a 40 um standard filter element and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The embedded square gauge reads in psi so downstream pressure is visible at a glance, and a reverse/check valve is fitted to hold the downstream setting if upstream supply is interrupted. The 1/2 in NPT port suits larger main lines feeding multiple take-offs.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, in PT (standard), G and NPT threads, with automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge or no-gauge builds, and standard or low-pressure regulator types. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop from the plant ring main, the 1/2 in port feeds a packaging line's valve manifold while the 40 um element strips water and pipe scale and the regulator holds a steady low-pressure setting to the actuators.
On a bottling or carton conveyor with air-driven gates and diverters, the unit filters the supply and keeps gate cylinder pressure consistent so divert timing stays repeatable; the check valve holds the setting through brief supply dips.
Feeding an air-operated control panel or positioner loop, the low-pressure regulator trims the supply to the level the instruments need, the psi gauge gives operators a local readout, and the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate from carrying over.
Start with the port step: size 400 carries a 1/2 in port, and the right size is chosen against the flow your line needs - published as curves, not a single number, so send us your demand and we will confirm the fit. This unit is the low-pressure type, intended for circuits where the regulated setpoint sits well below the 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet; the exact adjustment range for the low-pressure build is not published, so confirm it with us before ordering. Drain is differential-pressure by default here; automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are orderable alternatives. Filtration is the 40 um standard element - specify W for the 5 um grade if downstream equipment needs finer air. The square gauge is fitted and reads psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is NPT on this build; PT is the catalogue standard and G (BSPP) is also orderable. No mounting bracket is included with the J code.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number for this unit. Send us your line demand and operating pressure and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The L code makes this a low-pressure regulator build, intended for circuits where the downstream setpoint sits well below the 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet; the exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published, so confirm it with us. The drain is differential-pressure: condensate collected in the PC bowl is discharged automatically when the pressure differential across the 40 um element rises, with no manual draining needed in normal service.
