The AirTAC GFR40010ALF3T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines two jobs in one body: it filters water and particulate out of compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration, the GFR40010ALF3T, is the size 400 unit with a 3/8 in NPT port. It carries the standard 40 um filter element, an automatic drain that bleeds collected condensate from the PC (polycarbonate) bowl without manual attention, and the low-pressure regulator type for applications set below standard ranges. The embedded square gauge reads in bar, and the mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with options including manual or automatic drains, a 5 um (W) filter element, alternative gauge scales, G or NPT threads and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to clamp and unclamp cylinders on a machining fixture, where the low-pressure regulator type holds a gentle, repeatable clamp force and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the valve stack.
Sits at the drop of a packaging conveyor's air supply, cleaning water and debris from the line before it reaches diverters and pushers, with the bar-scale square gauge giving operators a quick setpoint check at the machine.
Prepares air for blow-off nozzles and air knives on a production line, where the low-pressure regulator type sets the reduced pressure these devices run at and the automatic drain protects the downstream tubing from accumulated water.
Start with the port and size: 200, 300, 400 and 600 step up in port and flow capacity, so size the unit against the air consumption of the machine it feeds. For this unit, the 3/8 in NPT port suits lines plumbed in NPT; PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) is also available as an order option. Choose the drain to match access: automatic (this unit) suits enclosed or infrequently visited installations, manual suits attended stations, and differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. Filter grade is 40 um standard, with 5 um (code W) where finer particulate removal is needed. The embedded square gauge is standard and can be ordered in MPa, psi or bar scales (this unit: bar); an external round gauge is optional. A bracket is included; the low-pressure regulator type (code L) is the variant for lower set pressures.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet and the appropriate flow curve for your sizing on request.
The L in the code marks the low-pressure regulator variant, intended for setpoints below the standard type; its exact adjustment range is not published in the material we hold, so we confirm it on request. The A marks the automatic drain, which expels condensate from the bowl by itself - the right choice where the unit is mounted in a hard-to-reach spot or runs unattended. A manual or differential-pressure drain version can be ordered instead if you prefer.
