The AirTAC GFR40010C2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010C2 is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure in one body, so one unit does the job of a separate filter and regulator. This configuration has a PT3/8 (3/8 in) port with standard PT thread, 40 um standard filtration, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance, and the mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (code W) filter element where finer filtration is needed, and gauge scale options. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for the tool-change clamps and pneumatic chucks on a machining centre, with the psi gauge letting the setter verify clamp pressure at the machine.
Filtering and regulating the air feeding case-erectors and carton-sealing cylinders on a packaging line, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate off the valves without a daily bowl-draining routine.
Point-of-use air preparation at bench-mounted pneumatic screwdrivers and press cylinders in an assembly plant, sized at 3/8 in so several tools can share one drop without starving.
Start with the size and port: GFR400 is the third step in the 200/300/400/600 range, and the PT3/8 port suits lines where 1/4 in would restrict flow and 1/2 in would be oversized. Match the port step to the air demand of the circuit rather than the pipe size alone. Choose the drain next: this unit's differential-pressure drain needs no daily attention and no electrical connection, while manual drain suits supervised stations and automatic drain suits unattended installations. Filtration is 40 um as fitted here, which protects most actuators and valves; specify the 5 um W-grade element for instruments or finer components. The gauge is round with a psi scale; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are also available. Thread is standard PT, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and the mounting bracket is included.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so send us your flow and pressure conditions and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your operating pressure and required flow and we will confirm the datasheet curve for this exact model on request before you order.
The differential-pressure drain is the GFR default: it discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the filter element rises, with no operator action and no extra connections. If your station is supervised and you prefer to drain the bowl by hand, the manual-drain version of the same size is available, and it also widens the regulation range down to 0.05 MPa (7 psi).
