The AirTAC GFR40010JC2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator, G3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010JC2WG is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. This configuration is built with a G3/8 (BSPP) port, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically as pressure differential builds, and an external round gauge reading in psi. No mounting bracket is fitted and no reverse/check valve is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8" to 1", drain options (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grades of 40 um standard or 5 um optional, and gauge choices in MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to a machining centre's pneumatic tool-clamp and chip-clearing circuits, with 5 um filtration protecting the clamping valves from fine particulate and the psi gauge giving the setter a direct reading at the machine.
Mounted at the drop of a bottling or cartoning line's air header, it filters condensate and dirt out of the supply and holds a stable regulated pressure to the diverter and sealing cylinders so changeover adjustments stay predictable.
Installed as the point-of-use filter-regulator for a robotic assembly cell's gripper and press-fit actuators, keeping water and 5 um-and-coarser particles out of the control valves while the differential-pressure drain handles condensate without daily manual draining.
Size the GFR400 by port and expected flow: sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 step up in port (1/8" to 1") and flow capacity, so match the step to your line demand rather than oversizing. This unit carries the 5 um element (W); choose 40 um standard where coarse protection is enough and 5 um where downstream valves and actuators need finer filtration. Drain is differential-pressure here; automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist if your duty cycle suits them better. The round gauge reads psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code, with PT as the catalogue standard and NPT orderable. Bracket is not fitted (J) but can be ordered. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application's flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the correct sizing from the datasheet on request.
The W in the code GFR40010JC2WG selects the optional 5 um element; the GFR400 standard grade is 40 um. Choose 5 um where downstream directional valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection, and 40 um where coarse pre-filtration is sufficient. Both grades are orderable across the GFR range.
