The AirTAC GFR40010LC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010LC3WT is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is built with a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and a low-pressure regulator type for circuits that work below standard regulating ranges. It comes with a round external gauge scaled in bar, NPT3/8 ports, and a mounting bracket, with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and an operating temperature of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits the 400 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, optional 5 um filtration, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filter, dry and regulate the branch feeding a solenoid-valve manifold on an automated line, with 5 um filtration protecting spool clearances and the bar gauge giving operators a local setpoint readout.
Regulate air to low-pressure clamping fixtures or workholding jigs on a machining cell, where the low-pressure regulator type matches circuits set well below standard regulating ranges.
Condition the compressed-air feed to a lab test bench or pilot rig, using the 5 um element to keep particulates out of sensitive instrumentation and the differential-pressure drain to clear condensate during continuous runs.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of the circuit: the GFR400 with 3/8 in ports sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range, one step above GFR300 and below GFR600. This unit is already specified with the finer 5 um element (code W) instead of the 40 um standard, so select it where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air. The differential-pressure drain is the default: it discharges condensate with flow and needs no operator attention, but if the unit will sit at very low or intermittent flow, ask about the automatic-drain variant instead. The low-pressure regulator type (code L) is intended for circuits regulated below the standard range; the exact regulating range for this type is not published in the sheet we work from, so confirm it with us. The round bar gauge fitted here is the external option; an embedded square gauge in MPa, psi or bar is also available. NPT is the thread on this code; PT (standard) and G are order options. A bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure conditions and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W in the code specifies the optional 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, and C3 specifies an external round gauge scaled in bar. Both are catalogue options on the GFR family; an embedded square gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales is also available if you prefer a different layout.
