The AirTAC GFR40010LJF3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010LJF3T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This size 400 unit has 3/8 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filtration element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the bowl is sufficient. Regulation is the low-pressure type, suited to circuits that run at reduced working pressure, and the embedded square gauge reads in bar so the setpoint can be checked at a glance. The unit is ordered without a mounting bracket, and no reverse (check) valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, a 5 um (code W) element option, gauge scale variants, G/NPT thread options and a bracket option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A low-pressure filter regulator ahead of clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture: the 40 um element keeps swarf-contaminated shop air out of the clamp circuit while the regulator holds the reduced holding pressure the fixture was designed around.
Mounted at the air inlet of a cartoning or wrapping machine, the GFR40010LJF3T strips water and particles before the machine's valve manifold and lets maintenance set a stable reduced pressure for the sealing and forming actuators.
On a finishing line where atomising and conveying air must run well below full line pressure, the low-pressure regulator type sets the working pressure and the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of the coating air stream.
Choose the GFR400 step when your line needs the larger 3/8 in port of the four-size range; port size follows required flow, and we will confirm the flow curves against your consumption before you order. This configuration is fixed as: differential-pressure drain (no operator attention between bowl checks), 40 um filtration (choose code W for 5 um where finer protection is needed), low-pressure regulator type, square gauge scaled in bar, NPT thread, no bracket and no check valve. If you need a different drain, grade, gauge scale, G-thread or a bracket, those are decodable options on the same family.
Be aware that the low-pressure type has its own published adjustment characteristics that differ from the standard regulator, and the exact range for this variant is not published in our sheet - confirm it with us on request. Thread is stated as specification only: NPT is what this code carries, and G (BSPP) is an order option, not a delivery promise.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter-regulator performance as flow curves, not as a single rated flow figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your operating pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The L in the code marks the low-pressure regulator variant, intended for circuits that operate at reduced working pressure rather than full line pressure. The exact adjustment range for this variant is not published in our sheet, so please confirm it with us on request. The rest of the decode is standard: 40 um filtration, differential-pressure drain, square gauge in bar, NPT3/8 ports, no bracket and no check valve.
