The AirTAC GFR40010MLF2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010MLF2WG is an AirTAC GFR400 series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 400 size with a G3/8 (3/8 in) G-thread port, the 5 um (W) filter element instead of the 40 um standard, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. A mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G, NPT or PT threads. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the air feeding clamp and hold-down cylinders on a packaging line, with the 5 um element protecting downstream valves and the psi gauge giving operators a direct setpoint readout.
Conditioning shop air at a test bench or lab station where the low-pressure regulator type and fine 5 um filtration suit instruments and fixtures that need clean, gently regulated air.
Mounted inside a machine electrical-pneumatic panel on the included bracket, conditioning the supply branch that feeds solenoid valves and actuators, with the manual drain serviced during scheduled maintenance rounds.
Size and port step up with required flow: this unit is the 400 size with a G3/8 (3/8 in) G-thread connection; step to 200/300 for smaller lines or to 600 for larger ones. The 5 um (W) element suits air that is cleaner-tolerant downstream; the 40 um standard grade is the usual choice for general supply. The manual drain means an operator opens the bowl drain periodically, so choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain codes where the unit is hard to reach. The embedded square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are the other options. PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are order options; a no-bracket (J) variant is also listed. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code selects a manual drain: an operator opens the bowl drain to expel collected water, which suits units that are easy to reach on a maintenance schedule. The same GFR400 series is also available with an automatic drain (code A) or the differential-pressure drain (blank) if you prefer unattended condensate removal.
