The AirTAC GFR40010MLJF1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single body. This unit, GFR40010MLJF1WT, is the 400 size with a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, and an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa. It is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, thread choices of PT (standard), G and NPT, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, and gauge and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplies filtered, regulated air to hold-down clamps and pneumatic vises on a woodworking router, where the low-pressure regulator type suits clamping circuits that run below standard line pressure and the 5 um element protects the clamp valves.
Feeds clean, regulated air to bench-top pneumatic apparatus and test rigs, with the 5 um element catching fine particulates ahead of sensitive instruments and the manual drain emptied during routine checks.
Regulates air to cylinders and actuators on a carton-sealing or wrapping conveyor, where the embedded square MPa gauge lets operators set and monitor the working pressure at the machine.
Size and port step up with required flow: 200 through 600, with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in; this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port. Drain choice matters: a manual drain needs periodic bleeding, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without attention. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (this unit, code W) for finer protection. Gauges are embedded square as standard, with optional external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales; PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options, and brackets are optional.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR40010MLJF1WT on request.
The M in the code selects a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl: condensate collects in the bowl and is released by opening the drain when you check the unit. If you prefer unattended condensate removal, the same size is available with automatic or differential-pressure drains - ask us for the alternative code.
