GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

The GFR40010MNWT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and the standard regulator with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). No gauge is fitted with this code, and no reverse/check valve is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). A mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grades of 40 um standard or 5 um optional, gauge options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Is the GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um the Right Unit?

Choose the GFR400 when your line calls for a 3/8 in port; the size 400 step sits above the 300 and below the 600 in the GFR range, so match the port and the required flow curve to your application. This code carries a manual drain, which suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl on a routine basis; if the unit will sit unattended, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions instead. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer grade and suits downstream equipment more sensitive to particulate than the 40 um standard element. No gauge is fitted with this code; gauge options with different scales exist in the series if you want a pressure readout at the unit. The T suffix selects NPT thread; PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) is also a catalogue option. A mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR40010MNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number for this unit. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures for the GFR400 at 3/8 in before you order.

The M in the code selects the manual drain bowl: condensate is released by operating the drain by hand. It suits installations that are checked regularly. If the unit will run unattended, ask about the automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain versions of the same GFR400 filter regulator.
