The AirTAC GFR40015ALF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015ALF2K is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single 1/2 in (PT1/2) body. This configuration is the low-pressure regulator type, fitted with an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. The mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing); the polycarbonate bowl keeps the condensate level visible at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) element, G or NPT threads, alternative gauge scales, or without the check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a carton-sealing or film-wrapping line, the low-pressure regulator sets a gentler supply for the sealing and clamping cylinders while the 40 um element and automatic drain keep rust and condensate out of the valves.
At a fixture-building or pick-and-place cell, this 1/2 in filter regulator feeds clamp and gripper circuits at a stable reduced pressure, and the check valve holds the clamped position if the plant air drops.
On looms, winders or converting equipment, the automatic drain continuously clears water drawn in from humid plant air, protecting downstream actuators and control valves at a set pressure read directly in psi.
Size up by port and flow demand: this unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in PT port, one step above the 300 series. The decodable choices are the drain (this unit is automatic, so condensate is ejected on its own; manual and differential-pressure versions are available), the filter element (40 um standard here, 5 um with code W for finer protection), the gauge (embedded square, psi scale on this unit; MPa, psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are options), the thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and the reverse/check valve, which is fitted here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curves against your application before you order.
A is the automatic drain: the bowl ejects collected condensate by itself, so there is no manual drain routine. K means a reverse/check valve is fitted, which keeps downstream pressure from bleeding back when the upstream supply is interrupted. The unit is also the low-pressure regulator type with a square gauge scaled in psi.
