The AirTAC GFR40015ALJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015ALJF2T is an AirTAC GFR400 series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in NPT port, the low-pressure regulator variant, a 40 um standard filter element, and an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate from the PC (polycarbonate) bowl without manual attention. A square pressure gauge scaled in psi is fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with manual or differential-pressure drains instead of automatic, a 5 um element (code W), alternative gauge scales (MPa, psi or bar), G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the air feeding carton-sealing and case-erecting cylinders on a packaging conveyor, where the low-pressure variant and automatic drain keep the supply clean and steady through continuous shifts.
Conditioning the compressed air that drives gripper and pick-and-place actuators on an assembly cell, with the 40 um element protecting valve and cylinder seals and the psi gauge giving operators a direct line readout.
Regulating filtered air to spray guns and atomizing nozzles in a finishing booth, where the low-pressure regulator type, automatic condensate drain and 1/2 in NPT connection suit a dedicated booth supply drop.
Start with the port step: this size 400 unit takes a 1/2 in connection, and the G-series steps through 200/300/400/600 with 1/8 in to 1 in ports, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than only the existing pipe thread. Drain choice matters in practice: the automatic drain fitted here suits unattended installations, while manual and differential-pressure drains are available where you prefer controlled or load-proportional purging. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um option (code W) if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The fitted square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this unit, with G (BSPP) and the PT standard available to order, and a mounting bracket can be added (this unit is supplied without one). Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM figure. Tell us your application and line conditions and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and check the sizing for you before you order.
L marks the low-pressure regulator variant, intended for circuits that run below standard line pressures; the standard type is available in the same size. The A marks an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate from the PC bowl by itself, so you do not need to bleed the bowl manually as you would with the manual-drain option.
