The AirTAC GFR40015JNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015JNT is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 1/2 in NPT port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through. It is supplied without a gauge and without a mounting bracket, the bowl is polycarbonate, and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) with an operating temperature of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option, gauge variants and bracket options. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet details for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the drop from a compressed-air main, the unit cleans water and debris out of the supply and holds a steady set pressure for the packaging machines downstream, with the differential-pressure drain clearing condensate as it collects.
Feeding the cylinders that index and divert product on a conveyor system, the filter stage protects seals from particulate while the regulator section keeps actuator pressure consistent along the line.
Mounted ahead of a clamping circuit on a CNC fixture, the unit delivers filtered air and a fixed clamp pressure so workholding behaves the same on every cycle, with no gauge or bracket where the panel already provides them.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper half of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 according to the flow your line needs. The differential-pressure drain on this unit handles condensate automatically, while automatic-float and manual-drain variants are available if you prefer. The standard element is 40 um; specify the W code for a 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. This model has no gauge fitted - gauge versions with different scales exist if you want a local pressure readout. The T suffix selects an NPT thread; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option, and the J suffix means no mounting bracket is included.
Because flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can quote. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.
The N in GFR40015JNT means no gauge is fitted, so you set the regulator with your own downstream gauge or read it at the point of use. Gauge versions of the GFR series exist with square or round gauges and MPa, psi or bar scales if you want a local readout on the unit itself.
