The AirTAC GFR40015LJC1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015LJC1WT is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the low-pressure type, fitted with a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an external round pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The port is 1/2 in with NPT thread, and no mounting bracket is supplied.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR400 series is one of four published sizes (200/300/400/600), with port options, PT/G/NPT thread variants, drain choices, 40 um and 5 um filter grades, gauge styles and scales, and a low-pressure type available. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on the 1/2 in air drop feeding a machining centre's tool-changer and clamping circuits: the 5 um element keeps fine contamination out of the actuator valves while the regulator holds a steady low-band supply pressure to the machine's air logic.
Mounted at the header of a cartoning or case-packing line where cylinders and grippers run continuously: the filter stage strips water and particles at the point of use, the low-pressure regulator sets the working pressure for the machine's air circuit, and the MPa gauge lets technicians verify setpoint at a glance.
Used ahead of pneumatic test benches and lab instrumentation where the air must be both clean and closely regulated: the 5 um grade protects sensitive gauges and transducers, and the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of the rig without manual intervention.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs - we will check the published flow curve against your application before you order. This unit is the low-pressure type, so confirm the outlet band you need with us; the exact regulation range for the low-pressure version is confirmed on request. The 5 um element (code W) suits air that feeds sensitive valves, instruments or coating equipment; the 40 um standard element is the usual choice for general plant air. The differential-pressure drain needs no operator attention, but a manual-drain or automatic-drain version can be ordered instead. Thread: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options - this unit is the NPT version. Gauge scale 1 reads in MPa; psi and bar scales exist as options. No mounting bracket is included with the J code.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your operating pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curve before you order.
This code includes L, the low-pressure type of the GFR400 series. Its regulation band differs from the standard version and the exact range is not published in the material we transcribe, so we confirm it on request. If you need the standard band instead, the same size is available without the L code.
