The AirTAC GFR40015LJC1WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series is a filter regulator: one body that first removes water and particulate from compressed air, then regulates the pressure delivered downstream. This unit is the size 400 body with a 1/2 in NPT port, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), the differential-pressure drain, and the low-pressure regulator type. It is fitted with an external round gauge scaled in MPa and a reverse (check) valve, and is supplied without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options for 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, a reverse valve, and bracket or no-bracket mounting. The size 400 bowl on this unit is polycarbonate (only size 600 uses aluminium alloy). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a machining or assembly fixture, actuating cylinders need air that is free of water and swarf and held at a steady, gentle regulated pressure so parts are clamped firmly without shock. This unit filters to 5 um at the point of use and regulates downstream pressure, while the check valve holds the setting if the upstream supply dips.
A machining cell's low-pressure pneumatic circuits - tool clamps, chip doors, part ejectors - behave best on clean, dry air at a stable regulated pressure. Plumbed at the cell drop with its 1/2 in NPT port, this filter regulator strips water and fine particulate before the machine's directional valves and cylinders.
Packaging conveyors run diverters, pushers and seal cylinders continuously, and moisture or grit in the supply causes sticky spools and worn seals. This unit conditions the line air to 5 um and holds a steady low regulated pressure so divert strokes stay consistent shift after shift.
Size and port: this unit is the 400 body with a 1/2 in NPT port; if your air consumption points to a different step, the family runs 200 / 300 / 400 / 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in - send us your demand and we will check the published flow curves against it. Drain: the differential-pressure drain is fitted here (the default); automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist if you prefer. Filter grade: the 5 um element (W) is fitted; the standard element is 40 um. Gauge: an external round gauge scaled in MPa is fitted; an embedded square gauge and psi or bar scales are the alternatives. Thread: PT is the AirTAC standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options to order, and this unit is specified with NPT. No mounting bracket is included (code J), and the reverse (check) valve is fitted. Regulation: this is the low-pressure type; its exact regulation range is not published in the catalogue, so confirm your setpoint with us before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your line pressure, port size and expected air consumption, and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet before you order.
The L code selects the low-pressure regulator version, intended for circuits that hold pressures below the standard type's range. AirTAC does not publish the exact regulation range for the low-pressure GFR version, so tell us the setpoint your circuit needs and we will verify it against the datasheet before ordering.
