The AirTAC GFR40015MC2GK AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015MC2GK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in G (BSPP) port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 40 um filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, a built-in reverse/check valve and a mounting bracket. With the manual drain fitted, the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge type and scale, PT, G or NPT thread, and bracket options. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds and regulates the air to clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture, so parts are held at a set pressure while chips and condensate are stripped out before they reach the clamp valve.
Conditions the air feeding diverters, pushers and bag-seal cylinders on a packaging conveyor, keeping moisture and debris out of the valves while holding a steady working pressure.
Serves as the point-of-entry filter regulator for a bench assembly cell, protecting downstream cylinders, air tools and FRL-fed equipment from water and particulate carryover.
Step up or down through the size range (200/300/400/600) to match the port and the flow your line needs; this size 400 unit carries a 1/2 in port in G (BSPP) thread, with PT and NPT available as order options. Choose the drain to suit the installation: manual (as here, which also widens the regulation range to 0.05-0.9 MPa), automatic, or the differential-pressure default; choose 40 um standard filtration or the 5 um W option where finer cleaning matters. Gauge type and scale (round or embedded square; MPa, psi or bar) and the bracket are also decodable choices, and the K option adds a reverse/check valve as fitted here.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number for this unit. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M in the code selects the manual drain: condensate is emptied by hand rather than automatically, and on a manual-drain unit the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). The K option fits a reverse/check valve, which holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is lost. An automatic drain is available as an alternative code if you prefer hands-off draining.
