The AirTAC GFR40015MC2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MC2TK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 40 um standard filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds the downstream setting if upstream supply is interrupted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard-type regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing or any datasheet figure for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool-change cylinders and clamping fixtures on a machining centre, with the check valve holding the set pressure if the shop supply dips.
Filtering and regulating the air that drives stoppers, pushers and diverters on a bottling or cartoning conveyor, with the manual drain bled at shift start.
Particulate and water removal plus a stable regulated pressure ahead of spray equipment in a finishing booth, monitored on the round psi gauge.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports; step up or down through sizes 200 to 600 if your line uses a different port or needs a different flow band. Drain choice matters in use: manual drain needs an operator to bleed the bowl, automatic drains continuously, and differential-pressure drain purges on a set pressure drop. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for the 5 um grade if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauges are available embedded square or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is a decodable choice: PT is the catalogue standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is built with NPT. A mounting bracket is included, and the K code adds a reverse/check valve.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not state a flow number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M code in GFR40015MC2TK specifies a manual drain bowl, which an operator bleeds periodically. The same size 400 filter regulator can be ordered with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank) if you prefer unattended condensate removal.
