The AirTAC GFR40015MF1TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MF1TK is a 400-size filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa, and a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply drops. A mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulation range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, an optional 5 um element (code W), and square or external round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar. Flow is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the drop feeding a CNC machining centre's pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders, it dries and filters the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure so clamping force stays repeatable through the shift. The manual drain is emptied during scheduled operator rounds.
Mounted on the supply leg of a carton-sealing and palletising conveyor line, it strips water and pipe scale before the directional valves and regulates pressure to the pick-and-place cylinders. The check valve keeps the downstream circuit pressurised during brief upstream dips.
Fitted at take-off points on a factory compressed-air ring main serving air tools, actuators and blow-off stations, it gives each cell its own filtered, regulated supply. The included bracket fixes the unit to the cell panel, and the MPa gauge gives maintenance a local pressure reference.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper half of the GFR range; step up to 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves and not as a single rated number, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order. On this unit the drain is manual, so an operator opens the drain valve periodically; if you prefer automatic or differential-pressure draining, that is a decodable option within the family. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is required. The fitted square gauge reads in MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are available options. The T in the code fixes the thread as NPT; PT is the catalogue standard and G (BSPP) can be ordered. A bracket is included with this configuration.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by opening the drain valve during routine checks. Within the GFR family you can instead order the A code for an automatic drain or leave the position blank for the differential-pressure drain. Note that the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with a manual drain, versus 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with automatic or differential-pressure draining.
