GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

The GFR40015MJNT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air through a 40 um element, then regulates downstream pressure across 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). This unit is fitted with a manual drain, so condensate collected in the PC (polycarbonate) bowl is released by opening the drain by hand as part of routine checks. It has a 1/2 in NPT port, is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and operates from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions. No gauge is fitted and no mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR filter-regulator line, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as standard thread and G or NPT as order options, plus a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain and an optional 5 um element. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

factory

Pneumatic supply for a packaging line

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the valve islands and cylinders that drive case-forming and carton-sealing stations on a packaging line, with the 1/2 in port matching the main drop from the ring main.

settings_input_component

Air preparation for an assembly press station

Conditioning the air supply to a bench-mounted pneumatic press or clamping fixture, where the 40 um element protects downstream valves and the regulator holds a steady set pressure cycle after cycle.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor actuation on a food and beverage line

Providing clean, regulated air to the diverters, stoppers and pushers along a bottling or conveying line, with manual drain suits a line that is checked at each shift change.

Is the GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to size 300 depending on the flow your line needs - we confirm sizing against the published flow curves before you order. This unit uses a manual drain, which suits installations that are checked regularly; if the unit will run unattended, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants. The 40 um element is the standard grade; a 5 um element (code W) is available where finer filtration is required. No gauge is fitted on this version, so add a gauge separately if local pressure indication is needed. The port here is NPT; PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) is also an order option. No mounting bracket is included with this code.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR40015MJNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated-flow number we can quote. Send us your required flow and operating pressure and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.

The MJNT code decodes as: M = manual drain, J = no mounting bracket, N = no gauge, T = NPT thread. Condensate is emptied by hand, which suits installations checked on a regular schedule; automatic and differential-pressure drain variants exist if unattended operation is needed. As no gauge is fitted, add one separately if you need local downstream pressure indication.
