The AirTAC GFR40015MLF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MLF2K is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is a 1/2 in PT-threaded unit of the low-pressure type, with a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, a reverse/check valve fitted, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge or no-gauge builds, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On assembly fixtures and jigs that hold workpieces with air cylinders running at reduced pressure, this filter regulator cleans the supply and lets the operator set and hold the clamping pressure, with the check valve helping hold the setting if upstream supply dips.
On a packaging or cartoning line where actuators, grippers and air jets run off a shared 1/2 in drop, this unit strips water and pipe scale from the compressed air and sets the line pressure the machine was built for.
At a workshop or plant air drop feeding hand tools, blow guns and small cylinders, this filter regulator gives a single point where the air is cleaned and the pressure set locally, with the psi gauge giving a direct readout for the operator.
Size and port set the capacity envelope: this is the 400 size with a 1/2 in PT port, one step up from the 300 series, so step up or down according to the air demand of the line. Drain choice matters in service: manual drain means someone opens the bowl drain at intervals, while automatic (code A) and differential-pressure (default) drains discharge condensate without attention. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify W for the 5 um optional element if finer filtration is needed. The square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are available, and an external round gauge is optional. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. A bracket is included with this unit.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number for this unit. Tell us your application and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
This configuration carries code M, meaning the polycarbonate bowl has a manual drain: condensate collects in the bowl and is released by opening the drain at intervals. If you prefer unattended condensate removal, the same size is available with an automatic drain (code A) or the default differential-pressure drain - just ask for the alternative model code.
