The AirTAC GFR40015MLJC2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single body. This unit is the size 400 model with a G1/2 port (G thread), the 5 um filter element, a manual drain, and the low-pressure type regulator, selected where the circuit calls for regulation at lower setpoints; ask us to confirm the exact range before ordering. It carries the optional external round gauge scaled in psi, the polycarbonate bowl shows condensate at a glance, and no mounting bracket is included with this configuration. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and each size can be ordered with a different drain type, a 40 um or 5 um element, an embedded square or external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scale, a PT, G or NPT thread, and with or without a bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding spray guns on a finishing line, where the low-pressure regulator holds a gentle, stable setpoint and the 5 um element keeps water and particulate out of the air reaching the gun.
Regulating low-pressure air to sealing bars and small cylinders on a cartoning or wrapping line, with the manual drain emptied during routine shift checks.
Supplying pilot air to process valves in a plant loop that runs at low regulated pressure, with the round psi gauge giving operators a local reading at the panel.
The real, decodable choices in this series are the size and port (200 to 600, 1/8 to 1 inch), which step up with the air demand of your line; the drain type (differential-pressure standard, automatic, or manual as on this unit); the filter element (40 um standard, 5 um where finer cleaning matters, as here); the gauge (embedded square standard, or the external round gauge fitted to this unit, scaled in MPa, psi or bar); the thread (PT standard, with G or NPT as order options); and the bracket. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request.
This unit uses a manual drain: condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and is released by hand. It suits installations that are checked regularly. The same series is available with automatic or differential-pressure drains where the bowl cannot be attended daily.
