The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size-600 unit is specified with 3/4 in NPT ports, 5 um filtration (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain on the bowl, and an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa. The maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and because this is the manual-drain version the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). At size 600 the bowl is aluminium alloy, and this configuration is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of PT (standard), G or NPT thread, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge options and scales, and optional brackets. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the pneumatic cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming and sealing line, with 5 um filtration protecting valve spools and a manual drain emptied during shift checks.
Supplying the diverters, stoppers and pushers along a conveyor system, where the regulator holds a steady set pressure so sorting actions stay consistent through the shift.
Air preparation for clamps and swing cylinders at a bench assembly cell, with the square MPa gauge giving the operator a direct read of the set pressure at the fixture.
Size and port are the first decodable choices: the 600 frame with 3/4 in NPT ports suits lines that need the larger port opening of this range; smaller sizes (200/300/400) step down in port and flow capacity, so match the frame to the line before ordering. Drain type is a real decision: manual drain (this unit) means an operator opens the drain periodically, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without that routine - choose manual where someone is already at the machine. Filtration grade is 5 um here versus the 40 um standard; pick 5 um where downstream equipment needs finer particle removal. The square gauge is fitted and scaled in MPa; psi and bar scales and an external round gauge are catalogue options. Thread is NPT on this unit; PT is the catalogue standard and G is also orderable. A bracket is not supplied with this code but is optional on the family. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your line conditions and required flow and we will confirm the correct sizing from the datasheet on request.
This code carries the manual drain: an operator opens the drain to discharge collected condensate. The GFR family also offers automatic and differential-pressure drains that discharge without that routine, so choose manual where drain checks are already part of the maintenance round and the other types where the unit is not visited regularly.
