The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a size-600 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This configuration has a 3/4 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element, and an automatic drain that bleeds condensate from the bowl without manual attention. At size 600 the bowl is aluminium alloy, and the unit carries a round pressure gauge scaled in MPa. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and this code is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic, manual), a 5 um optional element, gauge scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet details for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at a 3/4 in drop from a factory air main, it cleans water and scale out of the supply and holds a steady regulated pressure to the downstream distribution leg.
Feeding impact wrenches, chipping hammers and other shop-floor tooling, it keeps line pressure stable so tools run consistently through a full shift.
On a lab or QA test rig, it filters the shop supply and gives the operator a clean, adjustable set point read on the MPa gauge for repeatable test conditions.
Start with the port and size: this is the largest GFR step, 3/4 in NPT on the 600 frame, suited to higher air demand; step down to 200/300/400 if your line draws less. Choose the drain to match access: automatic (this unit) suits bowls that are hard to reach, manual suits attended stations, and differential-pressure is the default. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for 5 um where finer particulate matters. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar, and thread can be PT (standard), G or NPT. Brackets are optional. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.
The A in the code specifies an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate from the bowl without operator attention - useful for bowls mounted out of easy reach. Differential-pressure (default) and manual drain versions are available as separate codes.
