GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure

The GFR600-20 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 600-size configuration is fitted with a 3/4 in NPT port, a manual drain on the aluminium alloy bowl, a 40 um filter element, a low-pressure regulator, an external round gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse (check) valve. It is supplied without a mounting bracket.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, and gauge and thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure

GFR600G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range.
20Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure Is Used

factory

Low-pressure packaging line supply

Point-of-use air preparation for carton-forming and case-sealing machines that run their pneumatic actuators at reduced pressure, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if the main supply dips.

tune

Coating and spray-booth air

Conditioning the atomizing and actuation air on a paint or coating line, where a low-pressure regulator setting and 40 um particulate removal keep spray equipment behaving consistently.

settings_input_component

Pneumatic clamping on a machining cell

Filtering and regulating supply to clamp and fixture circuits on a CNC machining cell, with the 3/4 in port feeding a high-demand manifold and the psi gauge giving operators a local setpoint readout.

Is the GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure the Right Unit?

Size and port set the air capacity: the 600 frame with a 3/4 in NPT port is the largest step in the GFR range, so step up here when your line draws more air than a 200/300/400 unit can serve. Drain type is a real choice: manual (this unit) means draining the aluminium alloy bowl by hand at intervals, while automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without attention. Filtration is 40 um standard; specify code W for 5 um where downstream equipment needs finer air. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard; G or NPT to order) and bracket are also selectable. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/4, Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow data from the datasheet on request before you order.

Condensate collects in the aluminium alloy bowl and must be drained by hand at intervals. If you would rather not do that, the same GFR600 frame is available with an automatic drain or the default differential-pressure drain - just ask for that variant.
