The AirTAC GFR600-20 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This size-600 unit carries a 3/4 in PT port, a 5 um filtration element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element rises. The 600-size bowl is aluminium alloy, and an external round gauge scaled in psi is fitted so the set pressure is readable at the wall of the unit.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, PT, G or NPT thread, and an optional reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the take-off from a factory compressed-air ring main, the GFR600-20 strips water and debris from the 3/4 in branch line and holds a steady regulated pressure for the downstream tools and actuators on that drop.
On a packaging or conveyor line with air cylinders, diverters and stop gates, this unit cleans the supply to 5 um and keeps the regulator setpoint stable so cylinder stroke timing stays repeatable through the shift.
Feeding pneumatic test benches and instrument panels, the 5 um element protects sensitive control components from particulate and water carryover while the psi gauge lets the operator set and verify bench pressure directly.
Size and port are the first choice: the 600 frame with its 3/4 in PT port sits at the top of the GFR range, so step down to 200/300/400 if your line runs lighter - and match the frame to the flow your circuit needs rather than the pipe alone. Drain comes next: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (the catalogue default); choose automatic (code A) for unattended condensate removal or manual (code M) where you want hands-on control. Filtration is 5 um here (code W); the standard grade is 40 um if your downstream equipment tolerates coarser air. The fitted round gauge reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are the alternatives. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and this configuration has no mounting bracket (code J).
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the right size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Tell us your application and line conditions and we will confirm the datasheet flow curves and correct sizing for you before you order.
The differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default: it discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure drop across the filter element rises, with no operator input. If you prefer, the same GFR600-20 body can be ordered with an automatic drain (code A) or a manual drain (code M); the manual-drain version also widens the regulator adjustment range down to 0.05 MPa.
