The AirTAC GFR600-20 NPT3/4 AirTAC Filter Regulator, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one body. This 600-size unit is threaded NPT3/4 (NPT), fitted with an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and an external round pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The large frame uses an aluminium alloy bowl, and the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options including manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), embedded square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the clutch, counterbalance and part-ejection cylinders on a mechanical stamping press, with the automatic drain clearing condensate from a wet compressor-room supply.
Conditioning the shop-air feed to tool-changer and workholding actuators on a CNC machining centre, holding a steady set pressure so clamp force does not drift through the shift.
Supplying regulated air to the diverters, sealers and stopper cylinders on a bottling or carton-packing conveyor line, where a 3/4 inch main feeds several drop legs.
Size and port set the air capacity: 600 is the largest G-series frame, and this unit takes a 3/4 inch NPT thread; step up or down (200/300/400/600, 1/8 to 1 inch) to match your line. Drain choice matters: automatic (this unit) purges condensate by itself, manual needs periodic attention, and the default differential-pressure drain uses airflow to purge. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify W for the 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. Gauges: an embedded square gauge is standard, an external round gauge is optional, scaled in MPa, psi or bar - this configuration carries the round gauge in MPa. Threads: PT is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. This code (J) is supplied without a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this exact configuration before you order.
The A in the code fits an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate by itself - useful on unmanned cells or wet air supplies. The series is also available with a manual drain or the default differential-pressure drain. For the automatic-drain version, the regulator adjustment range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
