The AirTAC GFR600-20T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/4 in NPT 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR600-20T combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single AirTAC body. This size 600 unit is threaded 3/4 in NPT, carries a 5 um filter element, and has a manual drain on the bowl, which is aluminium alloy on this largest frame. The fitted round pressure gauge is scaled in MPa, and the standard regulator adjusts from 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR filter-regulator series, which spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and 40 um or 5 um elements. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at a 3/4 in drop from a factory compressed-air ring main, it removes water and pipe scale from the supply and lets maintenance set a stable working pressure for the whole bay. The manual drain is bled during scheduled rounds.
Feeding air to a workshop pneumatic press or clamping fixture, the unit filters the supply down to 5 um to protect valve spools and cylinders, while the regulator holds the clamping pressure the tooling was set up for.
On the air inlet of a cartoning or wrapping machine, it cleans moisture and grit from the shop supply and regulates the pressure to the machine's valve stack, with the MPa gauge giving operators a visible setpoint.
Size 600 with a 3/4 in NPT port is the largest frame in the GFR range; step down to 200, 300 or 400 where flow demand and porting are smaller. Drain type is a real choice: manual (this unit) needs periodic bleeding by hand, automatic drains continuously, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. Filter grade is 5 um here (code W) against the 40 um standard, so pick 5 um where downstream equipment needs finer air. The round gauge is scaled in MPa, with psi and bar scales orderable, and the embedded square gauge is the standard alternative. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are catalogue options to order. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number for this unit. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the aluminium bowl is released by hand, which suits installations visited regularly. Automatic (code A) and differential-pressure (blank) drains are available on other GFR600 codes if the unit will not be checked often.
