The AirTAC GFR600-20T AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/4 in NPT, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR600-20T is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the size-600 unit with a 3/4 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and an embedded square gauge scaled in bar. The standard regulator covers a setting range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Because this is the 600 size, the bowl is aluminium alloy, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options including a 5 um (W) filter element, manual or differential-pressure drain, G (BSPP) or NPT thread, a no-gauge variant, a low-pressure regulator type, and a reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on a 3/4 in branch off a factory compressed-air ring main, it filters line water and particulate and holds a steady set pressure for the downstream air tools and cylinders on that drop.
Feeding the air circuit of a CNC machining centre or lathe, it cleans the supply feeding tool changers, clamps and air bearings and regulates it to the pressure the machine builder specifies.
Mounted at the inlet to a packaging or bottling line, it conditions the air driving conveyor stoppers, pushers and gripper cylinders, with the automatic drain handling condensate on a line that runs across shifts.
Size and port are the first choice: 600 with a 3/4 in NPT port suits the larger end of the range, but the right step depends on the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. Drain type matters in unattended installations: this unit has an automatic drain; manual and differential-pressure drain variants exist if you prefer controlled or level-triggered expulsion. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for a 5 um element where finer filtration is required. The fitted square gauge here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales are available, and an external round gauge is an option. Thread is NPT on this code, with PT as the standard and G (BSPP) as further order options, and the J code means no mounting bracket is supplied.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a fixed l/min or SCFM figure. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your equipment needs, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves for you before you order.
This unit carries the A code, meaning an automatic drain that expels collected condensate from the aluminium bowl without anyone opening it - useful on lines that run unattended. If you would rather drain by hand or tie expulsion to a pressure differential, GFR600 variants with manual (M) or differential-pressure (blank) drains are available in the same size.
