GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a steady reduced pressure downstream, in a single body. This unit is built on the 600 size with a PT 1 in port, the 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain on the aluminium alloy bowl, a low-pressure regulator type, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. A reverse/check valve is fitted and a mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and G or NPT threads as order options. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

25Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain Is Used

valve

Low-pressure pneumatic clamping circuit

Filtering plant air and holding a reduced, steady supply to clamping cylinders on a packaging machine, with the automatic drain clearing condensate between shifts.

factory

Air preparation for a textile line

Point-of-use conditioning ahead of loom and doffer cylinders, where the 5 um element limits particulate carryover and the psi gauge gives operators a familiar readout.

tune

Regulated supply to spray and coating headers

Trimming a stable reduced pressure to spray nozzles or coating headers on a process line, with the fitted check valve holding the setting against upstream dips.

Is the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain the Right Unit?

Size and port: the 600 frame is the largest G-series step, here with a PT 1 in connection; step down to the 300 or 400 sizes with smaller ports if your demand is lower. Drain: this unit has an automatic drain, which empties the bowl without manual intervention; manual and differential-pressure drains are the family alternatives. Filtration: 5 um here; 40 um is the standard grade where finer filtration is not required. Gauge: embedded square gauge with a psi scale; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread: PT is standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. Mounting bracket included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, 5 um, Auto Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and allowable pressure drop, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

The automatic drain (code A) expels collected condensate from the aluminium alloy bowl without anyone opening it, which suits lines that run unattended. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer of the two published grades; 40 um is the standard grade if your application does not need finer filtration.
