GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi

The AirTAC GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi

The AirTAC GFR600-25 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, both jobs done in one body. This 600-size unit carries a 1 in PT port, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate on its own, a 40 um standard filter element, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. The bowl on this size is aluminium alloy, and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) with an operating temperature of -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options that include manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, G or NPT threads, and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell clamp supply

Filtered and regulated air feeding pneumatic clamps and fixtures on a machining centre, where the 1 in PT connection sits at the head of a cell drop and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the circuit.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line carton-sealing actuators

Conditioning the air supply to cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming and sealing conveyor, with the 40 um element catching pipe scale and the square psi gauge letting line staff set and check working pressure.

factory

Paint shop booth air preparation

Point-of-entry air treatment for a spray booth or coating line, where water and particulate must be stripped before air reaches atomising equipment and steady regulated pressure keeps the process repeatable.

Is the GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi the Right Unit?

Step up through the 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes against the port and flow path you need; this 600 unit takes a 1 in PT connection, with G or NPT threads available to order. Drain type is a real choice: automatic (as fitted here) clears condensate unattended, manual needs a periodic press, and differential-pressure drains only while flow is running. The standard element is 40 um; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration matters. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) and the mounting bracket are also selectable.

Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR600-25 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1 in PT, Auto Drain, psi FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow and datasheet figures on request before you order.

The automatic drain on this unit ejects collected condensate by itself, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. Manual and differential-pressure drains are available as alternatives. With the automatic drain, the regulator adjustment range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), within a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
